Smash Sausage Kitchen, Newtown

The dish in the thumbnail is English Pork Sausage, Onion & Fetta Mashed Potatoes with Rosemary Garlic Sauce. How tasty does that sound already? Smash Sausage Kitchen is our latest foodie adventure in Newtown. Mr C ordered the pork sausages as his main and he loved the minty taste and meat (He has this very unhealthy obsession with pork based dishes.)

Beef Wild Mushroom & Garlic, Creamy Mashed Potatoes with Mushroom Gravy Sauce

This was my dish and judging by the dish name, you can already tell I’m a mushroom addict. :D Mushroom sausages dipped with mushroom gravy? Too delicious! Though you couldn’t really taste the mushrooms in the sausage, but the sausage was cooked really well, not overcooked at all. I’m not much of a meat lover, but I think I loved the mashed potatoes the most. It was really really creamy, just like IKEA mash! Plus with the mushroom gravy sauce was a superb combination :)

Sweet Potato Chips

These came for free as Starters. Mr C and I both agreed and believe, that they were sweet potato chips so please correct if we’re wrong. These were surprisingly really yummy and addictive. There’s just this different taste to it, unsure how to describe but you’ll want to keep eating them! There’s also a bit of salt to it, so I recommend not to eat the chips with heaps of salt on it!

All those reviews of Smash Sausage Kitchen on SMH and other media were accurate, its cheap and very filling with some good quality dishes. Definitely worth a visit!
